Verizon has definitely not opened up their network as the said they would a couple of years ago, and it surprises me that there seems to be so little mention of that total failure to perform in any media anywhere.

(Of course they are really no worse than any other CDMA carrier in that - Even MVNO devices that are currently running exclusively on Sprint's network cannot be turned up directly ON Sprint's network... http://community.sprint.com/baw/message/28861#28861 )
