This would have seemed a lot cooler if I saw it before I saw the iPhone.
It’s still cool, but I don’t consider it groundbreaking.
If I’m a mobile developer and I want my app to have broad penetration, I will still need to write for Symbian, J2ME, WinMo, BREW. Now I also need to write for Android and maybe iPhone. Maybe two years out, a few of those choices will drop away ( hopefully BREW ), but for now, this doesn’t make my life easier.
